Medical Device Testing uses Bose SmartTest Series servopneumatic instruments for a variety of medium force, low frequency tests.  They are capable of loads as high as 12.5 kN and have been used in applications that run to 10 Hz.  Various test fixture designs for the SmartTest SPs can accommodate multiple samples.  The instrument controls and monitors displacement or load.  For multi-specimen applications, transducers for monitoring each specimen can be added to provide individual data collection.

Environmental control for SmartTest Instruments:
Most tests require a controlled temperature or saline environment. MDT Services has chambers for testing in both air and saline at temperatures to 37C utilizing various baths, enclosures, special fixturing and heating/circulation systems.
